Pragmatic Play’s brand new release for November 2023

Pragmatic Play’s Gates of Olympus, a scatter pays online slot game in the Greek Mythology genre, gained popularity upon its release in 2021. It inspired several similar games, including Starlight Princess and Starlight Princess 1000. Now, Gates of Olympus 1000 has arrived, and it’s essentially a clone of Starlight Princess 1000.

First Glance

Visually, Gates of Olympus 1000 shares similarities with its predecessors, as it borrows elements from the original Gates of Olympus. The game features Zeus alongside the game grid, set against a backdrop of flaming braziers. While visually pleasing, it may feel like a familiar experience.

The game’s statistics remain unchanged, featuring a highly volatile math model with an RTP of 96.5% in normal play and with the Ante Bet activated. The RTP becomes 96.49% when buying free spins for 100 times the bet. The Ante Bet increases the base bet by 25% to increase scatter symbols on the reels. Base bets range from 20 cents to $/€100 per spin, with 30 symbols falling onto a 6×5 grid matrix to create wins when at least 8 identical pay symbols appear.

Winning symbols trigger the tumble feature, removing them from the board and allowing new symbols to fill the gaps. There are nine regular pay symbols, including gems, a cup, a ring, an hourglass, and a crown. Scatter wins range from 0.25 to 10 times the bet for 8-9 matching symbols and 2 to 50 times the bet for a 12+ scatter win. No wild symbols are present in Gates of Olympus 1000.

Multiplier symbols appear on all reels throughout the game. When a multiplier symbol lands, it receives a random value from x2 to x1,000, which is added together and used to multiply the total win of a tumble sequence.

Scoring 4, 5, or 6 scatter symbols awards payouts of 3x, 5x, or 100x the bet, along with 15 free spins. During free spins, multiplier symbols contribute to a total multiplier, which is applied to all wins throughout the round. Landing at least 3 scatters during free spins adds 5 extra free spins.

Gates of Olympus 1000’s existence can be traced back to its predecessor, Starlight Princess 1000, which was a clone of Starlight Princess, itself inspired by the original Gates of Olympus. The changes in Gates of Olympus 1000 are primarily numerical, with a higher winning potential of 15,000x the bet, thanks to a new 1,000x multiplier.

While the new multiplier adds excitement, it may not come into play frequently. Nonetheless, Gates of Olympus 1000 offers an enhanced scatter win experience with visually appealing gameplay. If you’re seeking higher potential wins in a familiar setting, Gates of Olympus 1000 is worth considering.
